TePe interdental brushes
As the space between teeth varies, TePe brushes come in nine different sizes which enable you to alter the size of the brush to find the ones that best clean your teeth. Using TePe interdental brushes
When cleaning your teeth with a TePe brush first pinch the wide, flat area of the handle between your index finger and thumb and then hold the brush at right angles to your teeth that you wish to clean. Next, slide it gently between the teeth being careful not to push it too hard.
The brush should fit snugly between the teeth but if it's too tight then a smaller brush should be used such as the 0.45mm orange TePe brushes.
Once in place only the use the brush in horizontal movements and don't scrub but gently move the brush backwards and forwards to clean the area that's adjacent to the gum where inflammation and disease starts.
If, after several uses, the brush seems to be less snug this is a sign you are successfully reducing any inflammation – it does not mean you are widening the space between the teeth.
